DESCRIPTION:The Gainesville Fine Arts Association (GFAA) presents their 5th Biennial National Juried Exhibition: Line by Line \nThis exhibition explores ‘line’ as mark\, boundary\, path\, division\, connection\, structure\, and symbol. A line can define form\, create movement\, separate spaces\, map journeys\, or tell stories. It can be physical\, emotional\, social\, political\, or imaginary. \nOn display from August 26 – October 23\, with 43 artists from 18 different states. Curated by Skip Snow and Katy Lemle. \nEVENTS:\nAugust 28\, 7 – 10 pm: Artwalk – Opening Reception\nSeptember 3\, 7 – 8:30 pm: Artists Meetup (open to the public)\nSeptember 25\, 7 – 10 pm: Artwalk – Line up: an evening of collaborative art\, storytelling and games. \nA huge thank you to our sponsor Tower Hill Insurance for helping make this exhibition possible. \nAd artwork: ‘Edged Peaks’ by Daniele Lorio (Rockville\, MD) \nThis project is funded in part by Visit Gainesville\, Alachua County\, in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and the National Endowment of the Arts and in part by a grant from the City of Gainesville\, Parks\, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department
