SUMMARY:Jam Corps
DESCRIPTION:JAM Corps is a new music-based program designed to build connection\, creativity\, and community among local veterans. Through weekly jam sessions held at the local VFW\, veterans are invited to bring their instruments\, share their talents\, and make music together in a welcoming and low-pressure environment. \nNo matter what your experience level\, JAM Corps is about showing up\, connecting\, and enjoying the power of music alongside others who share similar experiences.\nThese sessions will culminate in a special performance at the Marion Theatre on November 10\, the day before Veterans Day. Participation in the performance is entirely optional. Veterans may choose to engage solely in the weekly sessions without performing publicly. \nJAM Corps is funded in part by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network\, an initiative of the National Endowment in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program is managed by Mid-America Arts Alliance.
